Troubleshooting internet, devices, and printers
Troubleshooting
1. What should you do if the internet connection in the restaurant goes down?
- Room Equipment: The POS tablet stores active orders locally. An orange bar appears at the top: "Connection lost — attempting to reconnect...". Do not refresh the page!
- Once the Wi-Fi connection is restored, all held messages are automatically synchronized with the server.
- Recommendation: Keep a router with a backup SIM card (4G/5G Backup) to ensure business continuity.
2. The thermal printer is not printing the receipt. What should I do?
Check these points in turn:
- Red Light (Error / Paper Out): Check if the thermal paper has run out or if the roller cover is not closed tightly with a click.
- LAN Network Cable: Make sure the green and orange lights on the network cable port are flashing.
- Turning Off and Restarting: Turn off the printer using the button, wait 5 seconds, and turn it back on.
- Self-Test: Turn off the printer, hold down the FEED button, and turn it on while holding it down. The printer should print its self-test sheet with the IP address.
3. The sound of notifications is not heard on the kitchen screen or TV.
Modern browsers block the automatic playing of sounds if there has been no physical user interaction with the page.
- Solution: Tap the Turn on sound button in the corner of the screen once as soon as you open the page in the morning.
